Cano Jewelry
Cano Jewelry is a Colombian artisan jewelry brand with over a century of history, blending pre-Columbian heritage with contemporary design. Founded in the late nineteenth century by Nemesio Cano, whose discovery of pre-Columbian treasures ignited a lasting connection to Colombia’s cultural legacy, the brand has been passed down through five generations and is now led by Eduardo Cano.
Cano Jewelry has contributed more than 10,000 pieces to the Museum of Gold in Bogotá, demonstrating its commitment to preserving Colombia’s artistic heritage. The brand has been featured in significant exhibitions, including From the Land of El Dorado at the National Geographic Society in 1973. In 1979, Cano Jewelry was highlighted in National Geographic’s Gold, The Eternal Treasure for its expertise in the lost-wax technique. In 2016, the brand’s work was selected as an official gift to Queen Elizabeth II by Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos, further cementing its status as a global ambassador of Colombian craftsmanship.
