Delphine Nardin
Delphine Nardin (France) is a self-taught jeweler shaped by a background in geology and archaeology, whose artistic approach is rooted in collecting and repurposing eroded materials found in nature. Her unique pieces, showcased in contemporary jewelry galleries across France and Europe, embody a form of contemporary archaeology.
“Gleaning has always been a vital and necessary resource,” Nardin states. “Driftwood, sea glass, fragments of seashells—I love these found objects, industrial remnants, traces of life that bear the mark of time.” Through the lost-wax casting technique, she transforms these remnants into silver imprints, enhances driftwood with a bronze patina, and juxtaposes sea glass with precious metal. By imagining mobile architectures and playing with voids, solids, and light, Nardin seeks to distill beauty through a minimalist and intentional gesture, capturing the timeless essence of her materials.
