Based in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Fabiana Gadano has been designing, handcrafting, and teaching contemporary jewelry for twenty years, following early studies in fine arts and industrial design. For her “Cities” collection, Gadano creates urban landscapes using PET (polyethylene terephthalate) from recycled plastic bottles—one of the types of plastic waste most widely generated in big cities. In doing so, she searches for an aesthetic experience in a material that was destined to be discarded, giving it new significance and permanence.
