Isabella Bedlington
Isabella Bedlington (Scotland) is a contemporary jeweler whose work explores symbolism, time, and human experience through the torus form. After earning first-class honors in Silversmithing and Jewelry from the Glasgow School of Art, she established her own jewelry practice in 2023.
Drawing inspiration from historical artifacts and cyclical themes of time, memory, and transformation, Bedlington creates refined forms enriched with intricate gold detailing. She specializes in Keum Boo, an ancient Korean technique that fuses fine gold to silver, producing delicate surface patterns that add depth and narrative to each piece.
Her jewelry has been exhibited internationally, including at Galerie Marzee and Munich Jewelry Week, as well as at esteemed UK craft fairs. She was awarded the Silver Award for Wire Innovation at the Goldsmiths’ Craft & Design Council Awards. Whether minimalist or richly textured, her pieces invite contemplation and connection, offering modern heirlooms imbued with narrative and history.
