Lynne MacLachlan
Lynne MacLachlan (Scotland) creates colorful, sculptural jewelry that celebrates the dynamism and vibrancy of structure, pattern, and color found in the world around us. Her pieces are both innovative and artful, blending cutting-edge craft and design through a creative approach to digital tools and fabrication. MacLachlan combines these techniques with meticulous hand-finishing processes, such as dyeing, polishing, and construction, to produce striking works.
Following an MA from the Royal College of Art and a Ph.D. in generative design theory, MacLachlan has received numerous accolades, including multiple awards from the Goldsmiths’ Craft and Design Council. Her work has been exhibited in the UK and North America with institutions such as the UK Crafts Council, the Victoria and Albert Museum, and the National Centre for Craft and Design. Her pieces are held in the contemporary jewelry collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Goldsmiths’ Company, and the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge.
