Nicole Albagli
Nicole Albagli (Chile) is a contemporary jewelry artist whose work merges the raw beauty of Patagonian sea stones, hand-collected from the coast of Chiloé Island, Chile, with precision-crafted aluminum mechanisms. Drawing on her background in industrial design, she creates sculptural pieces that explore the interplay between nature and industry, past and future.
Each piece embodies a striking duality: the organic uniqueness of natural stones juxtaposed with the engineered precision of machined metal. This conceptual balance is at the heart of her artistic vision. “My pieces seek to reawaken the beauty of nature in its purest form, set within the structure of mechanical precision,” Albagli explains.
Her work has garnered international recognition, including the Lorenzo il Magnifico Award from the Florence Biennale. In 2025, she will be honored with a dedicated exhibition at the XV edition, a distinction awarded at the discretion of Biennale President Pasquale Celona.
