Paula Giecco
Paula Giecco (USA) is the founder of Finn, an atelier she established in 2015 in Buenos Aires following her years in New York, São Paulo, and Sydney. A dedicated collector of bakelite, Giecco began designing jewelry by repurposing vintage finds sourced from thrift shops and markets. Finn embodies a dialogue between past and present, merging historical artistic and architectural influences with contemporary materials and design. Her work is defined by bold colors, geometric patterns, and sculptural forms, infused with intricate details and a sense of playfulness.
Her latest collection, “Vita”, explores beauty in the overlooked, celebrating diversity and authenticity. It repurposes remnants of natural raffia from a family-owned factory in southern Buenos Aires and combines them with acetate discards from eyeglass manufacturing. Through this transformation, “Vita” highlights the power of design, breathing new life into cherished materials through modern craftsmanship.
