Anna Retico
Anna Retico (Italy), educated at the Academy of Fine Arts of Rome, began her career in set design and interior design before transitioning into jewelry creation. Her work is rooted in continuous experimentation, transforming unconventional materials into wearable art.
Retico integrates traditional goldsmithing techniques with salvaged, recycled, and repurposed elements, seeking inspiration from nature, chemistry, and geometry. Her creative process is driven by the desire to give new life to discarded objects, exploring their transformative potential. Through her hands, materials unlikely to be recycled—such as old music CDs, foam rubber, and eyeglass lenses—are reborn as unique body ornaments. Each piece embodies a mixed soul, resisting mass production and embracing individuality. Her work challenges conventional perceptions of jewelry, merging sustainability with artistic expression to create designs that are both innovative and evocative.
