Sheng Zhang (Scotland) is a designer and maker specializing in contemporary jewelry and silversmithing. Trained in both the UK and China, he explores the interplay between internal and external spaces, emphasizing boundary, volume, silhouette, and shadow. His work embodies a minimalist aesthetic, characterized by pure forms and a restrained approach to design.
Zhang has received numerous accolades, including the Young Professional Award from the Netherlands Silver Museum and multiple honors from The Goldsmiths' Crafts and Design Council. His work is exhibited internationally and held in the permanent collections of the Victoria and Albert Museum and The Goldsmiths’ Company. In addition to his independent practice, he has undertaken commissions for private clients and esteemed organizations, including Rolls-Royce & Partners Finance.
